Watsu Massage and Wellness:



The Watsu is a massage technique and body-work was born from an evolution of the famous Shiatsu. This technique was invented about 25 years ago in California. That from an experimental application of typical practices of Shiatsu massage to persons immersed in hot water Spa, Watsu is now considered a separate treatment.

Although in Italy are still few centers offer sessions of Watsu, this practice is having more and more success, forcing the Italian welfare market (spas, wellness centres, spas, Beauty Farm, etc.) to adapt and modernise.

Watsu is practiced in pools of specific dimensions, not more than deep cm 120 and fed with thermal water at a temperature of 34� C-36� C. The meetings are always conducted individual and the presence of specialized operators in Watsu, called Watsuer.

What Watsu?

A Watsu session starts with the immersion in the subject concerned that once in the pool, is held in suspension by the Watsuer, so you can leave his body rocking and peace sensation generated from water.

The eyes are kept closed during the entire session, and ears, are of course, listening to relaxing natural sound of moving water.

Under the supervision of an experienced Watsuer, the subject is immersed in warm thermal waters and subject to manipulations, stretching, decompression and dandle. The constant immersion subject in water at a temperature of isothermal serves to establish the same physical and psychological state of complete relaxation and well-being. Everything is in a State of dynamic buoyancy.

The result of the Watsu is a feeling of general welling and balance of all the psycho-physical features of the natural person.

Who can submit a Watsu sessions?

Watsu is a suitable technique really everyone: children, youth, adults, the elderly, pregnant women, disabled persons and the disabled. The sessions can be customized and conducted in agreement and collaboration with physicians or physiotherapists.
